inFamous Second Son
Action

If you have played one or both of the previous inFamous games and enjoyed them then you will be blown away by this.

If you haven't played a previous game in the series don't shy away from this, the games are vaguely connected through story, but Second Son has a new character that has no direct links to the first two games making this a great opportunity to introduce yourself into the inFamous series.

Visually this is a very nice game, where the first two games were quite grey and dark in tone and colour, this is far more vibrant and does the PS4 justice in showing what can be done with the system even at such an early stage in its life cycle.

Gameplay is very fluid and controls are surprisingly easy to master, (something I was concerned about given the amount of abilitys and powers on offer). The game world in which to explore is fairly large and is set in a downscaled version of Seattle. Traversing the city becomes easier and more enjoyable as you unlock more powers.

The powers on offer are Karma orientated; kill civillians and slaughter NPC's and your on the path to evil, show mercy and be more tactful and your on your way to being a hero.

With inFamous Second Son being being a PS4 exclusive, Sucker Punch has been able to make excellent use of the touchpad and speaker on the dualshock controller. Nothing feels gimmicky or cheesy, it's just right. The Main Story missions on inFamous are good, not groundbreaking in any way, but good enough to continue playing without it feeling repetitive (This is helped by a strong story). There's plenty of side missions scattered throughout the city (these are slightly repetitive), my personal favourite was the spray painting which is pure genius use of the dualshock controller (I wont spoil this as its nice to discover for yourself). All in all infamous is a great buy, my one major issue is that there is NO multiplayer, which in this day and age is a real shame and considering I platinumed this game in around 10 days, multiplayer would have kept this in my games collection longer.
